French Coast to Canal du Midi

Day 2: Next morning we set off then decided our first stop would be the small town of Le Somail. We had another bridge to navigate first. They have a section that sticks out into the channel under the bridge. Many years ago, this enabled the horses to pull the barge directly under the bridge without having to go around it. Nowadays it means being a bit more careful as you motor through.
